Yokes is a collection of eleven signature designs by Kate Davies, with stories of the sweater that changed the shape of modern knitting. There are yoke patterns in here for all body shapes and sizes, from cardigans and jumpers, to coats and capelets. The patterns use a wide range of yarns from laceweight to Lopi, as well as a variety of different knitting techniques.
Kate's collection of essays and conversations cover the North Atlantic from Shetland and Iceland, to Canada and Sweden, and highlight often unexpected stories of political and personal significance.
The patterns include detailed instructions written in a clear and consistent style. A special techniques chapter will provide you with the extra help you may need for some of the more interesting knitting skills, such as short rows, grafting and i-cord buttonholes.
This book has a download code inside, which allows you to add a digital version to your Ravelry library.
