Something to Knit Together eBook
Work alongside knitters around the world to grow your skills and create beautiful projects. Our new ebook is our most interactive collection to date! With patterns delivered to you through the summer months, knitalongs to support each design, and online knit and chat sessions, we can't wait to share these new designs with you.
Sarah Hatton has created this capsule collection for us, with each design featuring lace patterns for us to knit together. The ebook consists of four swoon-worthy designs including a cardigan, one large accessory and two smaller accessories.
As you would expect from an A-C Knitwear publication, we will be encouraging you to try new techniques. Each design will have video tutorials to walk you through every step of the process.
Techniques covered in this collection will include the following:
i-cord tab cast-on method
Integrated i-cord edging
Grafting the ends of your i-cord
Picking up stitches at underarms
Keeping track of lace patterns when shaping
Working yarn overs in lace patterns
Adding and using a lifeline
Patterns will be released on Wednesdays at 3-weekly intervals as follows:
First pattern release: 1st July 2020
Second pattern release: 22nd July 2020
Third pattern release: 12th August 2020
Fourth pattern release: 2nd September 2020
What will the patterns be like?
We've designed this collection and the accompanying knitalong to be fun and relaxed to see you through the summer months. These are the perfect patterns to knit with friends. With a mixture of relaxed, perfect for chatting knitting, lace details, as well as features to keep you interested and stretch your skills, this collection has knitting for every occasion. And if you get stuck, you'll have a virtual living room of friends to help you out! For knitters new to lace knitting, this collection will be great for building your skills. For more seasoned knitters, there will still be plenty of tips and tricks.
Each pattern uses our beautiful Something to Knit With 4ply yarn, made from superfine alpaca and highland wool. It combines the bounce and crimp of the wool with luxurious softness from the alpaca, to make a yarn that blocks like a dream for lace patterns.
