Knitsonik Stranded Colourwork Playbook
"How do I change the colours in this stranded project?" and "How can I adjust this colourwork motif to fit my knitting project?" are just two of the many questions that Felicity (Felix) Ford's new Knitsonik Stranded Colourwork Playbook aims to answer.
Following on from Felix's highly successful Knitsonik Stranded Colourwork Sourcebook, this new Playbook aims to grow your confidence and allow you to play more freely with colour in your knitting. All of the patterns and swatches in this volume use Jamieson & Smith 2ply Jumper Weight, a yarn whose wide colour range allows huge scope for exploration. We have a selection of starter bundles of Jumper Weight in our kits section.
Also available is the Knitsonik Playbook Colouring Companion, which includes simplified motifs from the Stranded Colourwork Playbook and allows you to experiment with colour combinations before casting on.
The Knitsonik Stranded Colourwork Playbook contains patterns to help energise your swatching, from the knitted correspondence postcards exchanged by Felix, Yumi Shimada and Muriel Pensivy to the Knitsonik Bunting designed by Liz Ashdowne for Felix's wedding. These pages bring new purpose to swatching, which let's face it, not everyone enjoys! Bricks to Knit shows you how to take the simplest colourwork motifs and play with colour combinations to make a cowl inspired by your neighbourhood, while Polka Dots & Dolls looks at how to change the scale of a motif to fit smaller or larger projects. Finally Efflorescent is a study in taking one inspiration source, flowers, and multiple motifs and colourways to create a unique project.
Each print book contains a code inside the front cover, allowing you to add a copy of the book to your Ravelry library.
