Jamieson & Smith 2ply Jumper Weight
Ask any Fair Isle designer for their favourite yarn and chances are it'll be Jamieson & Smith 2ply Jumper Weight. Referred to as 'Jumper Weight' by those in the know, once you've tried this yarn you can never go back.
Yes, it's perfect for colourwork, thanks to a gentle halo that helps blend stranded shades together to alchemic effect. But it's a versatile yarn too and can also be knitted on larger needles to create spectacular lace designs.
However you choose to knit it, it'll block like a dream, with those fluffy fibres obediently lying down to create a smooth fabric, while still retaining a rustic glow. Can you tell we're hooked?
The shades with "mix" in their names are heathered not solid shades.
Stocks of FC47 are very low, and are not possible to restock at this time.
The current batch of shade 202 mix is in oil. This means that the mineral oil which is added as part of the spinning process has not been washed out, as it normally would be. The yarn may appear and feel a little different than normal. Once washed it will be the same as normal but you may notice the difference if you compare it with another ball. The next batch we get will be washed as normal.
