Jamieson & Smith Shetland Heritage
Jamieson & Smith are world-renowned for their extensive range of yarns made from the finest fleeces from Shetland. Shetland Heritage is a lightweight yarn, perfect for cables and colourwork. It was developed to recreate the hand-spun "wursit" used in old Fair Isle garments, such as those seen in the Shetland Museum and Archives. It gives a smooth finish when blocked, and feels softer than the 2ply Jumper Weight. Please note that Shetland Black is a dark brown natural fleece colour and not a true black.
The following shades are part of the Shetland Heritage Naturals range, and are thus made with undyed fleeces: Fawn, Moorit, Shetland Black, Light Grey and Natural White.
