Ama Sweater Kit
Join us for our Spring into Colour Knitalong! Maddie Harvey's Ama Sweater is the perfect design to inject a pop of colour to your knitting.
The Ama Sweater is a top-down oversized raglan with perfectly proportioned sleeves, Ama is a ‘try-on-as-you-knit’ cropped sweater, worked in two colours. The ‘string-of-pearls’ patterning and colour-block effect is designed to make the most of variegated or speckled hand-dyed yarn. The pattern is written for eight sizes, from 71cm [28in] chest to 147cm [58in], and includes lots of handy guidelines, such as stitch count ‘check tables’ and detailed explanations of all the techniques used.
We have put together kits of Coop Knits Socks Yeah! DK yarn which we think works brilliantly with this design. We suggest using either Tartarus (dark grey) or Minos (light grey) as the main colours, and then you can either use some special hand-dyed DK yarn that you already own (or source some!), or you can choose one of the contrast colours of Socks Yeah! DK that we have selected for you. Make your choices from the drop-down menus.
